KEYNOTE SPEAKER 1

DR. OTHMAN TALIB

Dr. Othman bin Talib, B.Sc (UKM), M.Sc (UPM), EdD (Adelaide) completed his secondary and post-secondary education at the King George V Secondary School, Seremban and the Matriculation Centre, University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He completed his first degree in Chemistry from UKM in 1986. He then appointed as a Chemist (temporary basis). A year later, he was appointed as a Chemistry teacher at the Matriculation Centre, University Putra Malaysia (UPM). He completed his Master in Pedagogy from UPM in 1999 and then in February 2000, was appointed as a lecturer with the Faculty of Educational Studies, UPM. He pursued his study at the University of Adelaide, Australia and obtained the Doctor of Education degree in 2007.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER 2

MR. AZNAN ABDUL AZIZ

Mr Aznan Abdul Aziz is the Director of Financial Sector Development Department of Bank Negara Malaysia. The department is responsible for developing strategic plan for the overall development of the financial system and coordinate policy direction and initiatives involving financial institutions, infrastructure, legislation and financial market. Prior to this, he has also served as the Director of Financial Intelligent Unit, which is responsible for anti-money laundering policy and regulation, and has served in a number of different capacities in banking regulation, supervision and surveillance department. Prior to joining Bank Negara Malaysia, has was the Assistant General Manager of Danamodal Nasional Berhad, the special purpose vehicle established to recapitalised distressed financial institutions during the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis. He holds a degree in Economics and Accounting from the University of Bristol, England.
